Procedure for Setting up Sole Proprietorship

An individual who conducts business in Hong Kong as a sole proprietor must register with the Business Registration Office of the Inland Revenue Department within one month of the commencement of business. Persons who conducts business in Hong Kong under a partnership agreement must registr with the Business Registration Office of the Inland Revenue Department within one month of the commencement of business. Procedure for Setting up a Private Limited Company

Application for incorporating a private limited company should be made to the Companies Registry. Details of the procedures and requirements are available at: http://www.info.gov.hk/cr. Procedure for Setting up a Representative Office

In order for an overseas company to establish a place of business in Hong Kong, it must complete the registration procedure with the Companies Registry within 1 month of the establishment of the place of business.
